Directgreen is a customer sustainability program, managed and operated by Direct Green Capital Pte Ltd, that helps both shoppers and sellers work together to green purchases and make an impact. Our ambition is to contribute to sustainable development.
Together with our partners (“suppliers”) we will work for social and environmental improvements, as well as transparency for shoppers. Our Supplier Code of Conduct is the basis for positive development and improvement in the supply chain by means of dialogue, on-going working relationships and monitoring.
Directgreen wishes to promote fundamental human rights, labour rights, environmental standards and anti-corruption. We adhere to the principles of this Supplier Code of Conduct and we expect the same of our suppliers.
To be part of the Directgreen program and supply chain, we expect our suppliers to do online self-assessments on their compliance and progress in all matters covered by the Supplier Code of Conduct. The self-assessment will take place on a yearly basis through our Directgreen Sustainability Management System (SMS).
Directgreen will endeavour to terminate business relationships with suppliers who repeatedly and knowingly violate the Supplier Code of Conduct and refuse to collaborate with Directgreen in implementing improvement plans.
In cases of severe violations, e.g. in cases of severe violations of human rights and/or significant damage to the environment or in cases of bribery, termination may be with immediate effect.
Ethics and Legal Compliance
In addition to the Supplier Code of Conduct, we expect our suppliers to operate in full compliance with all applicable international and national laws and regulations and prevailing industry standards.
We also expect that our sub-suppliers operate in compliance with this Code.
